The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC Holds Competition Team Auditions

(Englewood, NJ) -- The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC ‘s beyondDANCE program located at 1 Depot Square in Englewood NJ is holding auditions Sunday, October 4th, 1:00-4:00pm for its Competition Team for children ages 6-17 years. Come Audition and be a part of the 2015-2016 Performing Arts School Competition Team!

The Performing Arts School’s Competition Team is for dedicated and committed dancers who have a passion for dance to showcase their abilities in the nation's top competitions. Our teams are chosen by audition both in the spring and the fall. Rehearsals are held for learning new choreography and preparing for competitions and performances. Dancers perform in the community throughout the year and compete in 2-3 competitions.

Come 15 minutes prior to audition time for sign up and to warm up. Bring headshot and resume (if you have one) and jazz and tap shoes (if you tap).

Please wear dance attire with hair up. A short routine will be taught.

beyondDANCE is an electrifying dance program under the direction of roberta mathes. With our NYC professional and stellar faculty, beyondDANCE  has had resounding success in reaching children and members of the community, offering them the opportunity to receive excellent dance training in a positive setting whether they become performing artists or simply dance for fun!

We offer a wide variety of classes: creative movement, pre-ballet, classical ballet, contemporary, modern jazz, hip hop, tap, voice and theatre dance for all ages (children through adults) and all levels. In addition for the more advanced students we have a pre professional program which offers college guidance for dancers and more performance opportunities right here on our world class stage and throughout Bergen county and NYC!

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) continues its series of Soundtracks Talks at the Princeton Public Library with "Amadeus and the Myth of Mozart" on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 7:00pm in the library's Community Room. Chris Collier, Executive Director of the Princeton Garden Theatre, and Michael Pratt, Conductor of the Princeton University Orchestra, unravel the enduring legacy and myth of Mozart by watching and discussing excerpts of the 1984 Academy Award-winning movie Amadeus. Their conversation anticipates the Garden Theatre's showing of the restored theatrical cut of the film the following evening, Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 7:00pm.
