Capital Singers of Trenton's Women Ensemble presents "Light and Love"

(TRENTON, NJ) -- The Capital Singers of Trenton Women’s Ensemble will present Light and Love on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 4:00pm.  Trinity Episcopal Cathedral (801 West State Street) in Trenton will host the event.

This concert features all women composers and includes choral pieces interwoven with poetry and narration to soothe the soul in this uncertain world.  Some of the repertoire will include Light -poetry by Rabindranath Tagore, Oh Be Swift to Love – poetry by Henri Frederic Amiel, Out of The Morning – poetry by Emily Dickinson and My True Love Has My Heart – poetry by Sir Phillip Sidney.

The ensemble will be conducted by Ellen J. Dondero, Associate Conductor of Capital Singers of Trenton and Spenser Gallo, Principal Accompanist will play piano.  

Capital Singers of Trenton (CST) started in the spring of 2006 as a select group of mixed voices under the leadership of Richard M. Loatman. A non-sectarian, non-partisan, semi-professional chorus, CST maintains its commitment to promoting the art of choral singing, enriching the cultural life of New Jersey, and serving as a goodwill ambassador for the city of Trenton. 

Capital Singers of Trenton aspires to be an inclusive choral organization recognized by its musical peers and the greater Trenton area as an accomplished chorus that educates and inspires its audiences and singers with a challenging repertoire that showcases its musical diversity and artistic excellence. CST will be the acknowledged chorus for events throughout the capital region and state, and a leading contributor to the cultural initiatives of the region.
