Meredith Burns, Art House’s Executive Artistic Director, says “Art House Productions invites you to dive into the Glass Gallery at Mana Contemporary for our 15th Snow Ball Gala. After a hiatus due to the pandemic, we are back celebrating the arts in a big way. After 14 incredible Snow Ball Galas hosted at our former spaces in Jersey City, we are partnering with Mana Contemporary to present our popular fundraiser in The Glass Gallery across 25,000 square feet. This year’s event will be supersized, but will retain the creative design and community spirit that makes Snow Ball so indelible. There’s no better event than Snow Ball to connect with old friends, meet new ones, and celebrate the arts in Jersey City. Get your tickets early, because this magical, creative black-tie gala sells out every year!”

The event is presented by SILVERMAN and sponsored by Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects, CoolVines, Brightside Tavern, New Jersey Beer Company, Freeman, Tito’s Vodka, Modcup Coffee, Corgi Spirits, All Points West Distillery, and Yelp.

Discounted tickets for patrons with disabilities are available for $55. The Glass Gallery at Mana Contemporary is wheelchair accessible; accessible bathroom trailers are located just outside the venue. The ramp from the Mana parking lot to the entrance of the Glass Gallery is not ADA accessible; it is recommended that patrons with limited mobility are dropped off at the front of the building.

Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects - Since MHS’s founding in 1981, Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects has orchestrated award winning architectural, planning and design services for a long list of residential and mixed-use developments. But more than winning awards, their inventive and successful solutions have repeatedly helped provide the kind of returns that developers expect and appreciate. Guided by the principles of new urbanism, they have been the leading force in creating the new face for Hoboken’s incredible revitalization. And throughout New Jersey, they are at the cutting edge of several significant trends: the trend to bring downtowns back to small towns, design and planning for transit-oriented smart growth developments, and the critical trend of implementing green, sustainable architecture. In August 2021, The New Jersey Chapter of American Concrete Institute bestowed 180 Morgan in Jersey City with a Merit Award in the High Rise Category.

Jack Halpin - Joined up with Art House shortly after it’s founding in 2001 and immediately began wearing many hats: Director, Writer, Designer, Curator, Production and Stage Manager, Scenic Artist, Audio Technician, Performer and Host. He officially assumed the role of Artistic Director in 2008 until stepping down in 2013. As a Founding Board Member, Jack helped define and develop the mission and structure of AHP to achieve incorporation and designation as a Non-Profit (501c3), crucial steps in our future growth. He prioritized building a welcoming and accessible environment. He especially enjoyed transforming the space for a variety of original plays, multi arts group events and vital programs, including: YOUR MOVE Modern Dance Festival, STAGES Youth Musical Theatre Conservatory, JC ReBuild (Hurricane Sandy Fundraiser), Game Show Fever, The LGBTQ Prom, The Snow Ball Annual Gala, and AHP’s long running monthly Open Mic night; as well as fostering and supporting city wide festivals like JC Fridays.

Currently he continues his acting career - his television appearances include Boardwalk Empire, Friends From College, Bull and Manifest - as well as many commercials. He trained at Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, with many theatre credits in California and NYC. In addition Jack lends his production and technical experience to Rock-It Docket, Lux Performing Arts, Production Post, ThisLearning, Friggin’ Fabulous Productions, Jersey City Theatre Center and other local organizations; and, he can be seen and heard locally as a singer/songwriter.

He cherishes the countless collaborations with the Art House team and the tremendous variety of artists and arts organizations, community members and leaders, students and volunteers that threw in together with us. He’s very proud of Art House reaching its 20th Anniversary and grateful to all our supporters over the years and, to the current staff for continuing to give Arts a Home in Jersey City!
