Christmas Is Coming Atlantic City With New Holiday Displays

originally published: 11/04/2014
(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- This holiday season Atlantic City will be brimming with twinkling lights on delightful and amusingly decorated holiday trees. Trees for foodies and fashionistas, trees for casinos and celebrities, trees for Miss America and With Love Philadelphia XOXO™, even a peek-a-boo tree for visitors 21 and over are all part of an elaborate, citywide, free, lighted holiday tree display. The Atlantic City Alliance, CRDA, City of Atlantic City, casino resorts and Chester's Plants and Flowers have all contributed to making this holiday season a festive one for Atlantic City.

"The DO AC Tree & Light Fest is a grand celebration of the holidays that is designed to spread light and joy throughout the community," explained Liza Cartmell Atlantic City Alliance President. "Equally as important, our goal is for this display to become a tourist attraction bringing visitors from all over to see that Atlantic City continues to be a great place to shop, eat, relax and play this holiday season."

The Atlantic City Alliance's DO AC Tree & Light Fest is the cornerstone of the display, featuring 25 brilliantly illuminated and lavishly decorated themed trees in Tanger Outlets The Walk (the former Life is Good store) at Michigan and Artic Avenues. Plus:

* One giant, 30-foot, outdoor tree at the base of the Atlantic City Expressway

* Four artist decorated, customized trees at the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton College at Fairmount and Mississippi Avenues

* 200 lighted decorations, 2,800 feet of lighted garland and 1,000 glittering lights along Atlantic Avenue, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, at Bartram Avenue and the Boardwalk and Center City Park at Atlantic and North Carolina Avenues as part of the CRDA citywide, outdoor holiday décor

"Winter Sweet" Returns

The free, nightly show celebrates the wonders of winter while showcasing the visual beauty and elegance of the season. "Winter Sweet" returns on November 24 at 6 p.m. It is shown nightly every half hour beginning at dusk throughout December on the façade of Boardwalk Hall at 2301 Boardwalk.

Tree Trail — Citywide Decorations
Wait there's more ... DO AC Tree & Light Fest isn't the only holiday display in Atlantic City. Tree Trail maps provide a guided tour of holiday décor all over the city.
